Hunting two Continents
 |
We
met Kyle and his wife
while they were on a bow
hunt with
Wayne
Rudman in the
Uitenhage district in the
Eastern Cape (SA). With
one day to go, Kyle had
not yet bagged his black
wildebeest. Wayne asked
him if he would be happy
to take it with a rifle.
This was ok with him and,
early on the Friday
morning, they drove to
our workshop with Wayne's
300 Win Mag. We developed
a load with our 150gr HV
for him. A couple of
hours later, he had his
black wildebeest and the
trip was complete.
Kyle
also took some 120gr 7mm
HVs with him for
his 280AI Encore rifle.
He describes his
experience with these
bullets on the forum at
the
BellM
website. |

Shot was only 325yds. Encore VVGC 280AI shooting GS Custom bullets. Looking over a wheatfield Wednesday evening. He came in...not chasing doe but interested in eating. One shot through the lungs and two steps later, he was down. Grossed 158"BC. Not sure what he will net but it should be on the 150's. |

Here is a target from my Encore barrel. It is an HV 120gr bullet. So far, bullet performance is
tremendous. 2 hogs...250lbs and 220lbs dropped in their tracks with complete pass throughs on
both. Wound channel is weird...lots of clotted blood and organ damage but meat damage has been minimal. |
GS Custom Bullets, situated in Port Elizabeth on the East Coast of South Africa,
manufactures solid copper, turned, monolithic bullets for hunting and sport shooting.
These bullets are used by hunters on several continents, hunting from the smallest of
antelope to the largest of dangerous game, using the smooth HP bullet, as well as the
more popular HV, FN and SP bullets with the patented drive band concept. GSC bullets
are configured for the highest possible ballistic coefficients. SP bullets are mainly
used for sport shooting. All GS Custom Bullets are moly coated.
