GS CustomMalcolm Peel (Mr. Chillo)
2004
Malcolm Peel of Port Elizabeth shot this kudu bull on
the farm Koedoeskloof in the Adelaide district of the Eastern Cape, South Africa during the 2003
hunting season. Malcolm borrowed his wife's (Mrs. Chillo) 7x57 Custom rifle while his 30-06
had scope problems. The 7x57 was built by GS Custom Gunsmithing and loaded with 140 gr GS
Custom HP bullet at 2740 fps. The shot was taken at 250 metres, with the kudu going away, and
struck in the base of the neck for a one shot knockdown. The animal dressed out at 187kg.

Malcolm took the Blue Wildebeest below with his 30-06 loaded with a GSC 150gr HV bullet to 3120fps. The shot was quarter from the front, entering on the front of the shoulder and the bullet was recovered from the opposite back leg. Weight retention is 142.5gr.
